Larger particles into the piston and the cylinder between, will cause serious "pull cylinder" phenomenon, in the dry and sandy working environment is particularly serious. Therefore, before the air enters the cylinder, must first through the air filter fine filtration, in order to enter the cylinder. The air filter is installed in front of the carburetor or intake pipe, consisting of two parts: the filter element and the shell. Mainly responsible for removing particulate impurities in the air, to ensure that the cylinder into a sufficient amount of clean air, high filtration efficiency, low flow resistance, can be used continuously for a long time without maintenance. Piston machinery (internal combustion engine, reciprocating compressor, etc.) work, if the inlet air contains dust and other impurities will increase the wear and tear of parts, so must be equipped with an air filter.
Air filter is the patron saint of the engine, the state of the air filter is good or bad in relation to the engine's longevity. If the air filter is clogged or too much dust will lead to poor engine intake, and a lot of dust into the cylinder, will accelerate the speed of the cylinder carbon, so that the engine ignition is not smooth, the power is not enough, the vehicle fuel consumption will naturally rise. If you drive on a normal city road, the air filter should be checked when the car travels 5,000 km. If there is too much dust on the filter, you can consider using compressed air to blow outward from inside the filter element to blow the dust out. However, the pressure of compressed air should not be too high to prevent the filter paper from being damaged. According to the filtering principle, air filters can be divided into filtering type, centrifugal type, oil bath type and compound type. In the maintenance, the paper filter must not be put in the oil to clean, otherwise the paper filter will fail, but also easy to cause flying accidents. When maintaining, only the vibration method, soft brush removal method (to brush along with its wrinkles) or compressed air back-blowing method can be used to remove the dust and dirt attached to the surface of the paper cartridge. For the coarse filter part, the dust should be removed from the dust collection part, the blade and the cyclone tube in time. Even if each time can be carefully maintained, the paper cartridge can not fully restore the original performance, and its air inlet resistance will increase, therefore, generally when the paper cartridge needs the 4th maintenance, it should be replaced with a new cartridge. If the paper filter element has problems such as rupture, perforation or the filter paper and end cover are degummed, it should be replaced immediately.
The Four Filters.
The engine has three kinds of filters: air filter, oil filter, and fuel filer. These, along with the air conditioning filters are generally referred to as the "four filters."
They are responsible for the engine air intake system, lubrication system, combustion system,cooling system in the media filtration.
A, Oil filter is located in the engine lubrication system. Its upstream is the oil pump, downstream is the engine needs to lubricate the parts. Its role is to filter out harmful impurities in the oil from the sump, to clean oil supply crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft, supercharger, piston rings and other moving parts, to play a lubrication, cooling, cleaning role, so as to extend the life of these parts.
B, Fuel filter carburetor and EFI type, the use of carburetor gasoline engine, fuel filter is located on the inlet side of the fuel pump, the working pressure is small, generally using nylon shell, EFI engine fuel filter is located on the outlet side of the fuel pump, the working pressure is high, usually using metal shell.
C, Air filter is located in the engine intake system, it is an assembly consisting of one or several clean air filter components. Its main role is to filter out harmful impurities in the air that will enter the cylinder to reduce the early wear of the cylinder, piston, piston ring, valve and valve seat.
D, Air conditioning filter is used to filter the air inside the car and the air circulation inside and outside the car filter. Remove the air in the cabin or into the cabin air dust, impurities, smoke odor, pollen, etc., to ensure the health of passengers and remove the odor in the cabin, while the air conditioning filter also has the role of making the windshield is not easy to fog
Replacement cycle:
Customers are usually recommended to replace every 15,000 kilometers. Automotive air filters often work in harsh environments in the vehicle should not exceed 10,000 kilometers to replace once. (Desert, construction sites, etc.) The service life of the air filter is 30,000 km for cars and 80,000 km for commercial vehicles.
The filtration requirements for automotive air filters:
1. High filtration precision: filter out all the larger particles (>1- 2 um)
